Our Officer Board gets a lot of questions and as student designers who've been there, done that, we want to give back! Each issue will answer common design questions and include online articles that have helped us, what we've learned from them, and what we wish we knew.

Design [Classes] at Berkeley 📚

While we don't have an undergraduate design major/minor yet, there are still a variety of design classes embedded in different departments! Click to view our Classes Databases in another tab. Some of these classes count towards the Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation!

DeCals, Clubs, Orgs Database 🙋‍♀️

UC Berkeley students also teach a variety of DeCals that you can take to supplement your design education! Design definitely takes practice, and one way of getting more experience can be through joining a Design Club or Organization. Click to view this database in another tab. Most of these groups will open applications or recruit new members in the beginning of the semester. Keep and eye out for that via the DeCal Website or their respective websites and social media. We also host a Design [Fair] at the beginning of every semester to give these groups a platform and more visibility!

Design [Events] at Berkeley GCal 🥳

There has been an explosion of virtual events during the pandemic, and that's a lot of Zoom links to keep track of! To help, we're collecting them on a Google Calendar that YOU can add to stay up to date on when events are happening! Click to add the Design [Events] Google Calendar.

Design [Advisors] at Berkeley ❤️

Sometimes it can feel like you have no one to talk to for advice or mentorship, and we feel you! That's why we started the Design [Advisors] initiative.
